This beautifully remodeled and decorated rental apartment features 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, a spacious Living and Dining Room and a large, fully remodeled Kitchen. The Twain is one of our top properties, and we know you'll love its ideal location near the Sloane Square tube in the beautiful Chelsea neighborhood.

This vacation apartment is aptly named after Mark Twain who lived just across the Square at the turn of the century! You'll see the famous blue plaque which indicates the house he lived when you walk across the square.

Home to numerous authors, actors, and notables, Chelsea was one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in London two hundred years ago, and it remains so today. As you walk through these beautiful Victorian streets, keep your eye out for the blue plaques on homes and buildings, telling you which famous person lived there - from Alexander Fleming to Henry James to, of course, Samuel Clemens or Mark Twain.

The Twain apartment is located on the first floor of a modern building (second floor American) on Tedworth Square in Chelsea. Walk up a short, easy flight of stairs to the first floor.

Open the door and you'll find a long corridor with the first and second bedrooms (master bathroom en suite to master bedroom) on the left and the third bedroom, living room/dining area and kitchen on the right. Immediately on your right is the second bathroom. The apartment is well-organized and designed for a comfortable stay.

Just down the corridor from the entrance on your right, you'll find the spacious living room with sofa, comfortable armchairs, bookshelves and dining table. During your stay at The Twain, you can enjoy the flat screen TV with digital channels and the free high-speed Internet access available in the apartment.

A large comfortable sofa and beige check armchairs surround the fireplace, making an excellent central area to relax in at the end of a long day of site seeing. Beautiful large windows overlook the backs of old Victorian homes and gardens. This is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in London and when you gaze out the windows, the Victorian buildings will take you back hundreds of years.

Take a ride on the impressive London Eye for one of the best views of London. From the Twain vacation rental you can stroll to the London Eye along the Thames River. The London Eye, at a height of 135 meters (443 ft), is the largest Ferris wheel in Europe. At the time it was erected, in 1999, it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, until it was surpassed by the Star of Nanchang (160 m) in May 2006, and then the Singapore Flyer (165 m) on 11 February 2008. However, it is still described by its operators as "the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel", as the entire structure is supported by an A-frame on one side only. The London Eye is located at the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames, between Westminster Bridge and Hungerford Bridge.
