Welcome to the roof gardens of John Lewis on Oxford Street!

John Lewis, a major British name in retail is marking 150 years of trading and for this you’re all invited. Visit their flagship store on Oxford Street for an exhibition on the history of this former drapers shop and an explanation of how Mr Lewis went on to run a nationwide chain of successful department stores.

Relax in the gardens

Until August 31 you can visit a special rooftop garden designed by Royal Horticultural Society Young Designer of the Year, Tony Woods. The garden combines traditional British favourites, roses and lavenders with wildflowers and textural grasses, and there are plenty of deckchairs for you to sit and enjoy the cool breeze from. There are also screens to watch the World Cup and simply fantastic views out over central London to admire.
