Prehistoric giants, tusk jousting and the frightening creatures of the Ice Age. You’re really thinking that just screams London, right? Well, you will be soon! The Natural History Museum is about to open what will surely be the blockbuster exhibit of the summer and fun for the whole family to boot. That’s right, we’re talking woolly mammoths right in the heart of London!

We love the excitement and fun the Natural History Museum are already creating in these ten days leading up to the opening of Mammoths: Ice Age Giants on May 23rd. Take a look at the preview video they’ve released … you’ll know for sure the Mammoths are coming to London!

This very special exhibition gives viewers a remarkable glimpse back to the Ice Age when mammoths stomped around for real. They’re the largest mammals to have ever walked the earth, and this exhibition brings together life-size replicas, skeletons, modern day research into the extinction of mammoths and — the star of the show — Lyuba. She’s a baby woolly mammoth that was discovered in Siberia in 2007 and will be making her first appearance in western Europe. Lyuba (pronounced Loo-ba) is thought to have died some 42,000 years ago at just one month old. Find out more about Lyuba and the ice age world at Mammoths: Ice Age Giants, which runs from May 23rd to September 7th, 2014 at the Natural History Museum in South Kensington.

Book your tickets in advance now to save time and to make sure you don’t miss out on seeing the Mammoths during their stay in London!
