Spending the first Thursday of the month in London? Enjoy art? Well get yourself to the East End. For one night only London’s art galleries are open free of charge to all, with walking tours, talks, private views, workshops and over 150 galleries should you be a really fast walker and viewer.
Expect a multi-media extravaganza, with painting, sculpture, film, photography, performance and much more. We suggest you include the Whitechapel Gallery, a beautiful space which is worth visiting on any day of the week or month, and then use the online map at First Thursdays to plot the rest of your route and plan your stops for food and drink.
If you’d prefer to ride then book onto the free art bus. Led by an experienced guide, you will be taken to three of the top exhibitions and events, just sit back and enjoy!
