To begin, we have to tell you about the location, which we think is one of the most important decisions when choosing a vacation rental. The Wellington is situated in historic Chelsea, one of the most sought-after locations in all of London. What is also special about this property is that it dates from 1835, so as you can imagine, this beautiful home is full of historic charm around every corner.
You are also located on one of the quietest streets in the area and yet you are literally moments from the fashionable shopping mecca of King’s Road. You are also only a stroll away from the River Thames and the pretty riverside gardens.
We think this property has the ‘wow’ factor from the moment you enter! You’ll instantly be impressed by the double living room, which has been beautifully refurbished throughout. You are sure to be delighted by the gas coal fireplace which is the perfect way to relax after a busy day out in London. You will also notice the antique boarded floor as you wander about your new home away from home! The living area is impeccably designed, as you would expect from one of London’s leading interior decorators.
As you wander to the upper floor of the house, you will come to the luxurious Master Suite with its vaulted bedroom, ample wardrobe space and stunning decorative features. Your luxurious marble-clad en-suite bathroom comes with a generous king-size tub, double sinks, WC as well as the separate shower.
On the upper half-landing you will find a perfectly sized single bedroom which overlooks your private courtyard garden. If you have a guest or family member staying here they can enjoy the marble-clad bathroom, complete with shower, on the floor below.
As you head downstairs to the front of the lower ground level, you will discover another perfectly sized bedroom, also with its own en-suite bathroom. As you will know, it really makes travelling with family and friends that much easier with an en-suite!
On the lower ground you will also find your open-plan dining room with a stunning antique table that can seat 8 people – the ideal space for entertaining family and friends! You will see that your kitchen comes fully equipped with all the modern conveniences to make your stay a comfortable one, this includes: dishwasher, three oven Aga cooker, full-size refrigerator and washer/dryer.
When it comes time to unwind with a glass of wine you can relax in one of the cosy armchairs in your beautiful conservatory. The stunning French windows here also open out to the delightful courtyard garden. This is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, or even a leisurely evening meal now that we’re entering the warmer spring months.
