One of our favorite aspects of a vacation rental versus a traditional hotel room is that it allows our guests to live like a Londoner. When you stay at a vacation rental, you can immerse yourself in your local neighborhood, peruse farmer’s markets and artisan grocery stores for fresh ingredients, and essentially enjoy a “home away from home” in your new, adopted neighborhood.
This is one of the reasons why we fell in love with the Rosebery – a beautiful two bedroom, two bathroom vacation rental that is located in the exclusive Kensington neighborhood. The Rosebery is remarkably close to some of our favorite London attractions – including the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Kensington Gardens and the Royal Albert Hall – but the immediate surrounding streets are quiet and residential, ensuring that guests can easily escape the bustle of the city simply by hopping off the Gloucester Road tube stop and moseying home.
Take an evening stroll to Da Mario, (renowned as Princess Diana’s favorite spot for pizza), or walk a couple blocks for a drink at The Queens Arms – a locally owned pub that is in a lovely, quiet setting.
A host of coffee shops, grocery stores, shops and restaurants are all found at the end of your street, and yet the surrounding atmosphere is nicely quiet and intimate, making it easy and safe to explore on your own schedule. Pick up designer steals at the local upscale consignment shop, or grab an outside table at the nearby patisserie to indulge in tarts and croissants while enjoying a spot of people watching. The neighborhood may feel small and relaxed, but the global influences and activities will provide hours of fun.
This serene yet polished environment is a perfect complement to the interior of the Rosebery, which features a perfect blend of understated elegance and modern conveniences. The kitchen is a dream for any chef – with top of the line appliances and plenty of counter space – while the well-furnished living area allows everyone to relax in style. When it’s time to dine, retreat to the cozy dining area table, or enjoy your breakfast alfresco on the nearby patio. Both venues are perfect for those homemade meals that you whipped up at home.
We also fell in love with the bedrooms at the Rosebery, which are a study on clever ways to use space to make a home feel bright and airy. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and also features a flat screen TV, ample storage areas, and step-outside access to a pretty balcony overlooking the neighborhood, while the second bedroom features two single beds and a quiet locale on the top level of this two-storey flat. Filled with natural light, and perfectly conducive for sweet dreams, our Rosebery guests will have no problem getting a good night’s rest before the next day’s adventures.
We adore a London vacation rental that’s just a tube or bus ride away from the busiest parts of the city, but which feels like it’s in its own little inviting world – (after all, a vacation is all about relaxation, which can be difficult to find when you’re surrounded by crowds, traffic, and general urban noise.) And we’re delighted to attest that the Rosebery, with its coveted locale in Kensington, fits this description perfectly.
With one of the best addresses in the city, and a suite of amenities designed for upscale London living, we have a feeling that even though the Rosebery is new to London Perfect, it won’t be unoccupied for very long.
Summer and fall are beautiful times to escape to the city, so make your reservation today to secure your spot in this stunning Kensington vacation rental.
