The Kensington neighbourhood has everything we love about London: pretty garden squares lined with rows of Victorian terraced homes, history and culture at your fingertips thanks to world-class museums, a quiet charm and the expansive beauty of Kensington gardens. Add to that convenient Tube and bus lines that make it easy to explore all of London and you’ll quickly see why our guests return time and again to enjoy all the perks of Kensington.
Now you have a new address for your stay that truly encapsulates the best of London living: the Broadwood. This elegant two-bedroom, two-bathroom home is set in one of those classic terraces, so beautiful it’s listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England, and boasts views overlooking one of Kensington’s prettiest garden squares. Join us on a tour through the new Broadwood!
The Broadwood has that element that makes you feel at home from the moment you step inside. Every detail in the home is refined, and the muted colour palatte throughout creates a soothing atmosphere that’s welcoming to return to do after a day of sightseeing in London. The living room is a comfortable spot for conversation, catching up and sharing stories. At the far end of the room, there’s a glass topped table under the soaring windows. Start your day with breakfast overlooking the garden square – how lovely it is to feel at home in London!
With large windows that fill the room with beautiful light, the dining table will be a place of cherished memories. Perhaps it’s simply a cup of tea (why not, you’re in England!) or laughing over dinner at home with your family or friends. Excellent local grocery stores are just a short stroll away, which means you can easily stock the pantry for cooking at home during your stay at the Broadwood. While the number of restaurants and traditional pubs nearby is truly astonishing, the beautiful modern kitchen at Broadwood is equipped with everything you’ll need for cooking at home during your stay.
When it’s time to kick back and relax, the Broadwood has two comfortable and impeccably designed bedrooms. The first is a lovely space with large windows, soft tones with pale blue accents and plenty of storage space. The arched mirror reflects the beautiful light that pours in through the windows, but curtains block out the light for a good night’s rest.
With a crisp blue headboard and decor, the second bedroom is a cozy spot to retire to at the end the day or sink into the bed for a restorative nap. With two full bathrooms, each one beautifully finished with a shower, this apartment is comfortable in every way.
When you’re rested up and ready to explore, head out for a stroll through the neighbourhood. One of your new favourite spots is sure to be Kensington Gardens. Home to Kensington Palace, the royal residence of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, it’s an expansive park with plenty to see and do. Stroll through the Sunken Garden, visit the Serpentine Galleries, take a morning jog around the Round Pond or visit Kensington Palace to see where Queen Victoria was born. Don’t miss the ornate Albert Memorial, which was built in 1872 to commemorate Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s beloved husband.
You’ll also want to plan time to explore all the excellent museums along Museum Row, including the impressive Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the V&A museum, which is home to the world’s best collection of decorative arts. The Royal Albert Hall, one of London’s finest concert halls and music venues, is located nearby for a memorable night out in London.
When you’re ready to explore London, you’ll find plenty of bus lines in the area or the Gloucester Road Tube station just a short stroll away. With service by the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines, you can easily head to Notting Hill in one direction or across London to Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Covent Garden and everywhere you’ll want to visit in London quickly and easily.
