One of the greatest advantages of basing yourself in Knightsbridge is just how much of London you can reach without much effort. The Knightsbridge Tube sits on the Piccadilly line, one of the best in the city for reaching the West End, Covent Garden and beyond. But honestly, some of London’s most iconic destinations are close enough to walk to, which is a genuinely rare and lovely thing.
Hyde Park
One of London’s Royal Parks, Hyde Park is a great treasure when staying in the Knightsbridge and Kensington neighborhoods. Walk the lakeside paths along the Serpentine, visit the Serpentine Gallery for world-class contemporary art or simply find a bench and enjoy being in one of the world’s greatest cities. In summer 2026, Hyde Park is the setting for an extraordinary season of live music: BST Hyde Park, presented by American Express, brings Maroon 5, Mumford and Sons, Duran Duran, and many more to the park across July, with Hyde Park Open House running throughout the season. And come winter, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland returns from November 2026 through January 2027, transforming the park into one of Europe’s most beloved festive destinations.

The Natural History Museum
A London institution and a genuinely spectacular building, the Natural History Museum is located next to the V&A on Museum Row. This year the museum has a remarkable program. Wildlife Photographer of the Year runs until July 12, and the new Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep exhibition opened on May 22, 2026. For something truly immersive, Visions of Nature is a mixed reality experience running until October 2026 that takes visitors a century into the future to explore what the natural world could become. Also located on Museum Row, the Science Museum is particularly wonderful for families. The brand-new Space Object Gallery has just opened, showcasing iconic spacecraft and artifacts from the history of space exploration, completely free to visit. Buckingham Palace
Knightsbridge is so well placed for seeing London’s great landmarks, with Buckingham Palace less than a 30-minute walk away or a scenic ride on the number 9 bus. The magnificent State Rooms open to visitors this summer from July 9 through September 27, 2026, and the palace is also hosting the exhibition Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style at the King’s Gallery. Of course there’s also the iconic Changing the Guard ceremony, which is always free to watch from the gates.

- The Mayfair Chippy Knightsbridge — Directly opposite Harrods, this is elevated fish and chips done properly. A multi-level dining room, a champagne bar serving Carlingford oysters and a menu that takes a beloved British classic seriously. Also a brilliant spot for takeaway to enjoy in Hyde Park.
- The Berkeley Rooftop Bar — This summer, The Berkeley’s beautiful rooftop pool bar returns with Capri in the City, a Riviera-inspired pop-up created in collaboration with Acqua di Parma. Think Italian aperitivi, poolside pizza and sweeping views over Knightsbridge. Open to the public Wednesday to Sunday from 7:30pm, with tables available to book in advance.
- The Georgian at Harrods — One of London’s most storied dining rooms, originally opened in 1911 and recently restored to its Roaring Twenties glory. Afternoon tea here is taken beneath glittering crystal chandeliers, with a live pianist playing throughout. A genuinely special experience.

- Osteria Romana — A Roman trattoria in the heart of Knightsbridge that manages to feel like a genuine discovery.
