PORTOBELLO ROAD ANTIQUES MARKET
This bright street of colorful buildings is home to the world’s largest antique market along Portobello Road – a collector’s paradise! Antiques heaven stretches out for half a mile with lively and engaging stalls and charismatic local residents. With antiques dating back to pre Christian times up to the swinging 60s, visitors can find glass and silverware, paintings, home wares, furniture, clothing and jewelry on display. There’s plenty of independent cafés tucked in amongst the stalls for antique hunters to refuel before they carry on their intrepid search for treasures.

Proving there’s still life beyond the supermarkets, locals from miles around flock here to get fresh fruit and vegetables and farm fresh products. There’s a little of everything on display, from exotic fruits to handmade soaps and gifts. Also nestled into the market are fresh bread stalls, fishmongers and cheese sellers. Some stalls have been in the same family for generations and are a true example of Notting Hill’s independent spirit.
PORTOBELLO ROAD SECONDHAND / FLEA MARKET
Follow Portobello Road under the Westway and the market transforms from antiques stalls to a flea market with vintage and second hand clothes, jewelry, crafts, music and more on display. If you like vintage clothing, head to the flea market on Fridays while Saturday also features younger designers and handmade items.
'NOTTING HILL' MOVIE SITES
The 1999 romantic comedy "Notting Hill" was a smash hit on both sides of the Atlantic. Follow the trail to the famous Notting Hill movie sites including the “Blue Door” of Hugh Grant’s home, the historical Coronet cinema at Notting Hill Gate where Hugh Grant’s character, William, watches Anna, played by Julia Roberts, on the silver screen. The restaurant Nobu, acclaimed in its own right for superb Japanese food, is the location of William and Anna’s first date. Don’t forget to stop in the charming Notting Hill Bookshop, which was the setting for Hugh Grant’s bookshop in the movie.
