Harry Potter: A History of Magic

Last week, Harry Potter: A History of Magic opened at the British Library and it has been one of the most highly-anticipated exhibitions in the UK this year. With Harry Potter celebrating its 20th birthday, original drafts and drawings by J.K. Rowling and illustrator Jim Kay are on display for the very first time. Alongside this, the library’s collection of manuscripts, rare books, and objects, tell a truly magical story.

Opera: Passion, Power, and Politics

The Times is calling this recent exhibition at London’s V&A “spectacular.” Travel through 400 years of fascinating opera history, beginning in the Italian Renaissance, and culminating across the 20th and 21st centuries. London’s Science Museum is celebrating India’s vast contributions to science, technology, and mathematics with its season of exhibitions and events. This includes the amazing section 500 Years of Science and Innovation and Photography 1857-2017. Visitors can also enjoy dance performances, film screenings, and conversations with experts commemorating 70 years of independence.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2017

Photographers will rejoice at this latest Natural History Museum exhibit. The Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2017 installation is now open; the winner was announced last Wednesday – Memorial to a Species by Brent Stirton. Visitors can see the whole array of winning photographs, selected from a whopping 50,000. The display is the perfect inspiration for budding photographers or artists.

Modigliani

Although not appreciated in his time, Modigliani has become an internationally renowned artist, and this fall, the Tate Modern will display his unique, groundbreaking paintings. His art comprises some of the most iconic pieces of the 20th century. A visit to the Tate Modern with its sleek interiors is a treat for any art aficionado.
